Again we have been reminded why the companion pass is so amazing. As airfare prices for some reason continue to sky rocket, the companion pass has once again saved us a hefty amount. This past July we headed back home to Phoenix for a baby shower, but before doing that we came across some pretty steep prices for flights. We usually book well in advance, and this time was no exception. Ticket prices for this trip (Austin to Phoenix), were for the first time in our experience, around $400 a person. Even with the companion pass, this is still expensive in our opinion. However, this trip was extremely important to us and we are glad we had miles and the southwest companion pass to cover it.
